Yamatake-Honeywell's Building Systems Division has released an open and evolutionary version of its savic-net integrated building automation system based on Windows NT. The savic-net EV, which stands for open and evolutionary, enables plug-and-play hardware and software compatibility with savic-net systems. The system conserves the value of building owners' automation investments, for a minimal outlay.

Windows NT enables building owners access to a wide range of application software, and the EV's powerful user interface and secure operating environment place first priority on building control. The savic-net EV's dedicated building automation and management functions provide an interface to Yamatake-Honeywell's proven distributed control system. And users can choose from a world of multimedia and business software to develop their own control techniques.

The savic-net EV's sophisticated data acquisition functions let operators enhance efficiency, optimize comfort and reduce energy requirements. And they inherit the savic-net's comprehensive range of programs for air conditioning, electricity, thermal source, sanitation, security, fire, and elevator control.
