Square-Nut Rolled Ball Screw
The nut of NSK's new Square-Nut Rolled Ball Screw is also a self-contained housing block with tapped holes. This means it can be mounted directly onto the machine platform, making it easier and cheaper to install than conventional ball screw set-ups.
The ball nuts are interchangeable with the screw
shafts, so there is no need to replace the entire unit if a problem arises. Equipment can
be up and running again quickly and cost-effectively. They are standard inventory which
ensures rapid delivery. Seals are built into both ends of the nut for ease of maintenance.
The screws conform to JIS C10 (equivalent to ISO IT10 for positioning ball screws). The
tolerance for cumulative lead error over a notional 300 mm within the effective screw
length is ± 0.21 mm. Shaft diameters range from 14mm to 45mm.
The Square-Nut Rolled Ball Screw can be used anywhere where positioning from A to B is required in factory automation – from special automotive assembly machinery to the wire and cable industry.
