Omron E2E Inductive Proximity Sensors OMRON'S E2E/E2E2 INDUCTIVE PROXIMITY SENSORS NOW OFFER EASIER INSTALLATION AND USE, GREATER DURABILITY Omron Electronics, Inc.'s line of E2E (short barrel) and E2E2 (long barrel) cylindrical inductive proximity sensors has been significantly enhanced to simplify installation and use and to provide increased durability. And, to simplify users' order and stocking requirements, Omron's new E2E/E2E2 line incorporates more features with fewer part numbers. Wrench flats have been added to these proximity sensors to simplify installation and tightening, while fully-threaded bodies allow a wide range of positioning. Other user-friendly features include easy-to-see LED indicators and low leakage currents to help reduce false signaling. Both shielded and unshielded versions of the E2E/E2E2 sensors are housed in heavy-duty metal and are available in prewired and quick-disconnect versions. The quick-disconnect versions feature metal connectors for enhanced durability. E2E/E2E2 inductive proximity sensors are available in AC 2-wire, DC 2-wire and DC 3-wire versions, providing wiring options for a variety of applications. Most E2E/E2E2 models can operate within a broad temperature range, from -40 to 85°C. Most also carry the CE mark for machinery bound for Europe, and UL recognized/CSA certified models are available for 2-wire AC versions. The operating voltage range of E2E/E2E2 DC-model sensors is 10-40 VDC. E2E/E2E2 inductive proximity sensors are available in numerous configurations for use in a variety of manufacturing and machine tool applications involving metal detection. Applications include: counting teeth on gears, positioning cars in elevator shafts, verifying that caps have been placed on bottles, and other presence/absence applications.
