Omron MVF Card Reader
Designed specifically for reading and writing information to both IC and magnetic stripe cards, Omron's new MVF motorized card reader provides advanced, powerful capabilities in a highly compact unit. Measuring only 124 mm (w) x 90 mm (h) x 210 mm (l) and weighing only 2 kg, Omron's MVF motorized card reader uses an advanced double roller drive mechanism to ensure highly reliable card feeding, reading and encoding. Typical applications for this durable card reader include ATM machines and other banking applications and retail POS transactions. The MVF motorized card reader's RS-232 interface has built-in chip card protocols for advanced handling of ISO-7816 compliant chip cards. Features include automatic activation and deactivation of chip cards and automatic recognition of applicable chip cards. The MVF also reads and writes ISO tracks 1, 2, and 3 simultaneously. Options include a shutter unit to control the types of cards that can be inserted into the unit, IC contact for use in applications requiring both magnetic stripe and IC capabilities and watermark sensor for increased fraud protection in magnetic stripe applications.
