OMRON'S NEW LASER DISPLACEMENT SENSOR PROVIDES STABLE, HIGH-RESOLUTION DETECTION OF BOTH SHINY AND LOW-REFLECTIVE OBJECTS
Incorporating Omron's advanced optics and lasers (see attached diagram), the new Z4M-N30V reflective displacement sensor offers stable detection of both shiny and low-reflective objects for in-line operation and inspection applications.
These applications include: inspecting for variations in height, double feed, precise product positioning and presence of metallic vs. non-metallic objects in a variety of industries, including semiconductor/electronics, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and automotive. Machine tool applications include inspecting for warpage of IC leads and press-molded products.
With high-resolution sensing of 4 microns at 1 ms, 0.4 microns at 100 ms, Omron's Z4M-N30V is among the industry's most precise sensors. This compact (45mm H x 55mm W x 25mm D) sensor incorporates a visible laser beam for easy spot positioning of 100 microns diameter max. at measurement point. A set value teaching function allows the user to set the upper and lower limits of the desired range for more accurate sensing.
Specifications include: sensing range of 30mm ± 2mm, 4 to 20mA analog output, 12-bit binary digital output and NPN open collector control output.
A visible light Class 2 Laser Product conforming to EN60825 (IEC825), the Z4M-N30V displacement sensor meets EMC safety standards.
