Omron E3MC RGB Color Sensor UNIQUE FINE-TUNING ADJUSTMENT ENABLES OMRON'S NEW RGB COLOR SENSOR TO DIFFERENTIATE UP TO FOUR COLORS Omron's new E3MC RGB (Red, Green, Blue) color sensor includes a unique threshold sensitivity adjustment that allows high-precision color differentiation. This feature allows users to change the threshold levels to one of several "fine" or "coarse" settings to distinguish between highly similar colors. Users can store up to four colors in the Omron E3MC color sensor's memory for greater performance than that offered by any other color sensor on the market. Incorporating Omron's advanced light wave sensing and free angle optics technologies, as well as temperature compensation circuitry, the highly-reliable E3MC color sensor discriminates differences in color without being influenced by changes in ambient temperature, brightness or positioning of objects being sensed. Omron's E3MC RGB color sensor is available in both fiber optic and non-fiber versions for enhanced flexibility. Push-button programming provides ease-of-use for operators, while quick-disconnect connectors simplify installation and maintenance. An RGB LED light source ensures a long service life and maintenance-free operation. Specifications include: sensing distance of 60±10mm (60mm) on the standard versions and 20±4mm (20mm) on the fiber versions, spot diameter of 12mm (standard) and 3 mm (fiber optic), supply voltage of 12 to 24 VDC±10%, ripple (p-p) 10% max and an IP66 enclosure rating. This sensor is ideal for such applications as label detection, pattern positioning and discerning the front and back sides of objects.
