Omron D4DS Door Switch

COMPACT, LOW-COST SAFETY DOOR SWITCH FROM OMRON DESIGNED FOR SPACE-CONFINED APPLICATIONS

New miniature plastic body safety door switch provides a compact, low-cost solution for space-confined locations.

Measuring only 30 mm (w) x 92 mm (h) x 30 mm (d), the D4DS safety door switch works with a choice of three special operation keys that assure a positive break in contacts to shut down machinery safely and reduce liability. The switches are designed for any location where a door, guard or gate is necessary to protect workers from injury and to control worker access. Applications include machine tool, material handling, packaging and metal-forming machines.

Omron's D4DS safety door switches were designed with maximum flexibility in mind. The head can be mounted in four directions. Dual entry points for the three different style mounting keys-horizontal, vertical and adjustable-are located on the top and front of the switch, providing increased flexibility for mounting and access. A protective insert cover on the unused entry point helps ensure longer switch life.

A hinged access panel on the lower front edge of the D4DS opens by removal of a screw for ease of maintenance and wiring.

The D4DS is housed in an IP65 and Type 4 (UL/CSA)-rated enclosure for indoor use. Its wide ambient temperature operating range is -30°C to 70°C.
