Omrons large rack systems offer factory automation solutions with extensive communications options, versatile distributed I/O capabilities, fast processing, and redundant control for critical applications. Extensive PLC family compatibility simplifies migration between controllers. Over 80 standard and special-application I/O modules are available.

The C200H controller popularized the small rack category because it offers large-rack performance in a space-saving half-height package. Upgrades in networking capability have kept C200H an outstanding value for machine control and factory automation applications that require large I/O flexibility, fast processing speed, a wide selection of and large memory size. Remote I/O options allow both standard C200H and large rack I/O in the same and special I/O, system.
Small machine control applications are ideal for Omrons modular
CQM1-series as well as block style SP, C20H and C20K families of controllers. They offer a cost-effective way to automate machines compared to relay panels. Use them to control a free-standing machine or automate an in-line process as part of a larger system. Modular CQM1 offers 16 built-in DC inputs, and a wide range of discrete I/O modules that connect and lock together for a maximum of 192 I/O. Block-style controllers offer 10 to 60 I/O on board and can be expanded with additional I/O blocks for a system up to 148 I/O.
Installation and daily operation of your Omron system is made easy with
I/O wiring accessories, compatible software support tools, a range of peripherals, and man-machine interface terminals. Reduce I/O wiring to control panels to just a few wires or ribbon cables using Omrons I/O wiring accessories. Omrons Ladder Support Software (LSS) and the CV-series version (CVSS) let you write and edit programs, monitor controller activity and make changes on-line. The NT-series programmable display terminals offer easy-to-use message development software. Choose touch-screen or keyswitch terminals to meet your needs. All Omron C-series controllers can share the same peripherals, including hand-held programmers, printer interface, and PROM writer.
Omron can help you perform in-line measurement and inspection operations using
specialized systems
- Radio Frequency Identification (RF ID) tags, read/write heads and controller modules that mount on the PLC rack add great system tracking capability.
- Visual Positioning systems
- Analog sensors and displacement or discrimination controllers using ultrasonic, laser, photoelectric and inductive proximity sensing techniques provide gauging, profiling and inspection in-line.
Reliable inputs from Omron include large selections of the following product types:
- Photoelectric sensors
- Inductive Proximity sensors
- Capacitive Proximity sensors
- Measurement and Inspection sensors
- Heavy-duty and enclosed Limit Switches
- Incremental and absolute Rotary Encoders
Some sensors offer "smart" options that indicates unstable sensing conditions. Many offer plug-in convenience with connector cordsets.
Operators often prefer discrete controls to handle simple machine functions. Use the output from these controls as inputs to a programmable controller for total machine control.
- Analog and digital set, multifunction Timers
- Digital set, multi-function Counters
- Intelligent Panel Meters offer outputs and functions for inspection, comparison and scaled display
- Panel Meters for scaled displays
- Single loop Process Controllers
- Temperature Controllers in 1/16,1/8 and ¼ DIN sizes
Transfer and step up the switching capacity of a PLCs output using Omron relays.
- General-purpose relays switch up to 10 amps
- Power relays switch loads of 10 to 40 amps
- Solid-state relays for frequent switching cycles
- I/O Terminal Blocks minimize wiring and allow you to mix and match relays, triacs and transistors outputs to meet your application requirements.
