The new AC induction motor from Oriental Motor USA
Corp. incorporates a non-porous aluminum die casting for both motor and gearhead. This
ensures that the FP series induction motor meets the rigid requirements of IP65 as
specified by the world recognized IEC/DIN standards.
The 115 vac 60 Hz FP induction motor series is available in 3 models: the FP1425AA (25 watts-1/30 HP), FP1540AA (40 watts-1/18.5 HP), and FP1560AA (60 watts-1/12.5 HP). These AC motors can be supplied with a range of gearheads with ratios between 3.6: 1 to 180: 1. Gearmotor torque ranges from 4.1 lb-in (3.6: 1) to 69.0 lb-in (180: 1) for the FP1425AA (3.26" motor O.D.) AC gearmotor. The FP1560 gearmotor (3.60" motor O.D.) develops 9.5 lb-in at 500 rpm (3.6: 1) to 130 lb-in at 10 rpm (180: 1). Input voltage is 115 VAC 60 Hz.
This special purpose induction motor family can withstand a continuous stream of jetted water against all motor and gearhead surfaces. Ideal applications include food processing equipment, industrial washing machines, special packaging machines and various types of agricultural equipment.
The IP65 designation for the FP series ac induction motor marks the first time a sub-fractional motor manufacturer has received this high special environment rating.
